BACK TO BASICS {continued} Virtues Of Salah {continued}

From the information conveyed so far, no doubts should be left in our minds that:

  1. The 5 times Salah is a precious gift from Allah Azzawajal given to us through the Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS during his Miraaj {Ascent} to the, Presence of the Lord of power Rabbi Dhul Jalali Wal Ikram. This is why it is referred to as “Mirajul Mumineen” Ascent {to the Presence of The Almighty Allah ‘Azzujal} of the True Believers.
  2. The performance of 5 times Salah on time is a compulsory duty of Muslims. In the Holy Quran Allah Azzawajalsays:
    Translation: “Indeed Salah for Mumineen at fixed times is Fard {compulsory}.
  3. Any one one who denies this is a Kaafir.
  4. To deliberately perform it after its time is passed Qada is a major sin.
  5. Abandonment or habitually not performing it or performing less than 5 times daily, takes us out of the fold of Islam.Now let us look at Virtues of Salah. A book can be written on the incredible and abundant Virtues of Salah. Some are enumerated as under:
  • Hadrat Anas raa narrates that during the night journey and ascension {Isra Miraaj} 50 Salahs a day were made compulsory for the Ummah of the Beloved of Allah, Hadrat Muhammad  SAS . Eventually they were reduced to only 5 daily. Then he SAS was told “Oh My Beloved SAS,Our Commitment does not change, the rewards {Thawab} for the 5 daily Salah will remain the same as for the 50 daily Salah ordained first”. {Tirmidhi}
  • We must all remember that it was the kind service of Hadrat Moosa  because of which we have to perform 5 daily Salah instead of the 50 previously ordained. Every time The Beloved of Allah and The beloved of my soul Hadrat Muhammad SAS came back with 5 Salah reduced it was Hadrat Moosa  who kept sending him SAS back for more reduction! Hadrat Muhammad SAS went back and forth 9 times to get a reduction of 45 Salahs! Were it not for this great service rendered toward us by Moosa , we may have had to perform 50 Salahs daily! May Allah Ta’La’s peace be on this benefactor of ours.
  • Ummul Mumineen Hadrat Aaiyshah Siddeeqah  narrates that her Beloved husband Hadrat Muhammad SASsaid: “Allah ‘Azza Wa Jal says” When my slave establishes Salah at its fixed times, his right over Me is that I do not punish him and permit him to enter Paradise, without hisaab {accounting on the Day of Judgment}. My dear gems of my eyes, who on this earth in their right mind would not want to go to Paradise without hisaab? Just picture how easy our Creator, Nourisher, Cherisher, Protector, The Most Compassionate and The Most Beneficent has made it for us. Just perform 5 times Salah daily at fixed times and you are in Paradise without Hisaab! Who in their right senses would allow anything, ANYTHING in this world to stop them from performing their Salahs on time?
  • Hadrat Ibn Umar  narrates that the Beloved of Allah Muhammad SAS said that the early part of the time of Salah is the pleasure of Allah  and the last part is the forgiveness of Allah . Hadrat Ali Karramallah Wajh, Hadrat Aaiyshah Siddeeqah  and Hadrat Ibn Mas’ood  have narrated the same. {Tirmidhi Shareef, Tarteeb Shareef}

This means to receive the pleasure of our Lord Almighty we should perform our Salah at the earliest times. All that is received in the later part of the time of Salah is forgiveness.

  • Hadrat Abu Hurairah  narrates that he heard the Beloved of Allah Muhammad SAS say: If there is a river near your doorway and you bathe in it 5 times every day would you say that you have any impurity {on your body}? The Holy Companions Ridwaanallahi Ajma’een Submitted “There will be no impurity”. The Beloved of Allah Muhammad SAS said the example of the 5 daily prayers is the same. Through these Allah  removes the sins. {Bukhari Shareef, Tarteeb Shareef}
  • Hadrat Buraidah Aslam narrates that The Beloved of Allah Muhammad said: Give the good news to those who walk toward the masjid repeatedly during darkness that on the Day of Judgment they have received complete Noor {light} This is a Ghareeb Hadith. { Tirmidhi Shareef, Tarteeb Shareef}
  • Hadrat Abu Hurairah narrates that the Beloved of Allah Muhammad SAS said: “All the 5 daily Salahs and from Friday to Friday and from Ramadan to Ramadan wipe out all those sins that are committed in between provided they are not major sins.
  • The Beloved of Allah Muhammad SAS said: “When a person performs a Salah during the early parts of its prescribed time period, his Salah ascends towards Heaven as a light until it reaches the ‘Arsh {Throne} of The Almighty Allah and there it asks for forgiveness for that person until The Day of Judgment saying “O Allah preserve him as he preserved me!” But when a person performs a Salah outside of its time period, it ascends toward the Heaven covered with darkness. When it reaches there it is folded up as a garment is folded and thrown back at his face, and it says, “May Allah waste you as you wasted me!”
  • It is reported in a Hadith that “Allah most High will bestow five honors upon a person who guards the prescribed Salah. These are: He removes from him poverty and the punishment of the grave; He gives him his book {of deeds on The Day of Judgment} in his right hand; He takes him over the Bridge {of Sirat across Hell} like a streak of lightening; and He admits him to the Garden without Judgement”. The opposite is the case with a person who abandons the Salah.

{In the next issue we will Insh’allah Ta’la, include the virtues of performing Salah in Jama’ah}

VIRTUES OF THE MONTH – – – Rabee’uth Thanni

It is mentioned in the “Kitaab Jaamookhi” that when the Hilal {visible new moon} is observed then on this first night {after Salaatul Maghrib} perform 8 raka’ah Nafl in niyyah {intention} of sets of 2 each {4 sets in all} and to recite after
Surah Alfatihah Surah Al Kauthar 3 times {in the first Raka’ah} and in the 2nd Raka’ah recite Surah Al Kafroon 3 times or just Surah Al Ikhlaas 3 times in each Raka’ah. Rewards are enormous. {Taqweem Daar-Ul-Ehsaan}
It is mentioned in “Jawaahir Ghaibi” {Gems of The Unseen} that on the 1st, 15th, and 29th day of this month, perform 4 Raka’ah Nafl and recite after Surah Al Fatihah, Surah Al Ikhlaas 5 times. Rewards for 1,000 pious deeds are recorded, 1,000 sins are forgiven , and 4 houries {pure companions of paradise} are born.

VIRTUES OF UNITY

Our Shaikh Hadrat Shaikh Muhammad Barkat Ali Muddazilluhu has mentioned in his work Makshoofat Manazil Ehsaan “{Manifestations Of The Stages Of Excellence}” Volume 1:

40. “Unity is the life of Islam. The supporter of unity is the supporter of Islam and the supporter of Islam the true Muslim”.
41 .”We are office holders. If we were simply Muslims {aware of the significance of unity} we would have been united and if we were united, what can I say we would have been”.
In the previous issues of “Virtues Of Islamic Life” we have covered many qualities present in a unified nation. These qualities are easy to understand and not difficult to put into practice. In this issue we shall Inshaallah present to you the Divine Law of Almighty Allah  which you will see operating in all unified nations and its absence leading to chaos:

  • The necessity of right leadership.
  • The necessity of joining ranks behind the leadership in impeccable obedience.
    The importance of the above law can be discerned from several Ahaadith in which The Beloved of my soul Hadrat Muhammad SAS has emphasized:
  • Select one to be an Ameer even in a brief journey and obey him.
  • Even if there are two Muslims traveling, one should be made Ameer and obeyed.
    If an Ameer is not selected the Shai’tan becomes your Ameer.
  • The husband is the Ameer of the wife and the wife must obey him.
  • The father is the Ameer of the household and family and the family must obey him.
    In The Holy Quran Surah 4, verse 59 our Lord and Master Allah Jalla Shanuhu says:

Translation: ”O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey The

Messenger {Muhammad SAS } and those of you

{Muslims} who are in authority {oolil Amr}

{Umara, plural of Ameer}.

And if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah

and His Messenger SAS , if you believe in Allah

and in The Last Day. That is better and more suitable

for final determination.

Many Muslims fail to see the connection between appointment of a suitable Ameer, then rallying around him with 100 % obedience. Precluded in the laws of unity are selection of a suitable Ameer and obeying him as long as he is guided by The Holy Quran and the Sunnah of The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS in other words when he is within the bounds of the Shariah. Many people misunderstand the last part of the verse. If an Ameer makes an error, it does not mean you disobey him in everything else or make fitnah of throwing him out! The last part means, you do not have to obey him only in the area where he has no support of Quran and Hadith. {This aspect alone creates so much chaos that we shall Inshaallah Ta’la deal with it significantly later on in other issues}. Let us Inshaallah Ta’la examine these two aspects of the ingredients of unity.

Responsibilities of The Ummah: – – –

A greater share of responsibilities for unity and harmony lies with the ummah.

1.They must know who to select and to appoint as Ameer. Commonly experienced is the fact that candidates fight for positions; the Hadith of the Beloved of Allah Muhammad SAS and makes it very clear that any one who aspires for any position in the community becomes immediately disqualified for that position. It is therefore essential that the community itself nominates a person rather than the person fight for the position. The community must nominate and select a person of Taqwa because Allah  has mentioned in The Holy Quran that the BEST of us is the one who fears Allah Jalla Jalaalahu the most and we must always select the best. The fact should not escape us that for selecting in a manner or for reasons other than the above, we shall face accountability with the Lord of The universe on the Day of Judgment and will have to answer to Him. We should look for the following in an Ameer or any office holder:

1.Piety

2.Avoidance of Major Sins. This should be of great concern to us. There can never be Barakah in a community whose Ameer indulges in Major Sins which include irregularity in Salah, or any of the pillars of Islam, listening to music, unIslamic life style at home, involved in Riba {Interest} giving like in mortgages, buying at interest bearing installments, as well as accepting Riba. He should also avoid Gheebah {Back Biting} since it is a heinous Major Sin. His earnings should be from Halaal means.

3.He must be performing at least 2 or 3 Salahs daily in Jama’ah in the Masjid.

4.Be prepared and able to spend a lot of time in the affairs of the Masjid, Islamic Center and the Muslim community in general.

5.He does not necessarily have to be a scholar. He must however have sufficient knowledge of basic everyday Fiqh and Shariah, so that not only should he practice Islam correctly but guide the community also.

6.Give the Ameer impeccable obedience, whether you supported him during selection or not. This is the command of The Lord of the universe.

Responsibility Of The Ameer:

The fear of Allah  and His Accounting on The Day of judgment is enough to make pious people never want to accept this grave responsibility. This was the nature of the Sahabah Kiraam Ridwanallah Ajma’een. The inner feelings of an Ameer should be that he is unsuitable for this office and that only with the help of Allah  will he be able to fulfill his awesome duties.

  1. He should continually guard himself from slipping into committing Major Sins.
  2. He should be prepared to work harder than any of his colleagues.
  3. He should realize that by only being a model of piety and humility will he be able to inspire the community to obey him and cooperate with him.
  4. He should have sincere love, regard, and concern for the community and should realize that Allah chose him to be the leader in order to serve the community and not vice versa. He therefore should strive to seek the pleasure of Allah  by genuinely serving his community.
  5. His demeanor at all times should be like that of The beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS
  6. He should be acutely aware that the only way he will please his Lord and receive His Love is by adhering to the Sunnah of His Beloved Hadrat Muhammad SAS and should be seeped in this Ittiba’ [following the Sunnah}.
  7. Since none of us are perfect, he should be quick to admit his mistakes and quick to seek forgiveness from The Lord of Mercy and Forgiveness and his community.
  8. He should constantly be busy doing his own Islah {reformation} by focusing on his own shortcomings rather than focusing on the faults of others and doing their Islah. This is the only way he will motivate others to reform themselves.
    In brief the Ameer should strive to be a model and an example for his community.

Beloved Muslim readers, gems of our eyes, all that has so far been written under “Virtues of Islamic Unity” and especially in this issue, is from our own practical example in Daar-Ul-Ehsaan and its 570 centers. No organization is perfect, but let us tell you the laws which unify any group of people including Muslims are Divine Laws and if adopted sincerely and given time and patience, which are also Divine laws, they work. Of course they work: They have worked for us.
In the next issue Inshaallah Ta’la, we shall endeavor to take specific examples of disharmony, chaos and sometimes Na’uzubillah violence that has occurred and is occurring in our Islamic Centers and Masjids and offer practical solutions from the Quran and the Sunnah to resolve such conflicts so that harmony and unity prevail. We all know the strength of the Ummah is in Unity. Our dear readers whether you are office holders or from the general body you are invited to write to us about specific difficulties and instances, if any, in your communities. We shall Inshaallah Ta’la with the help of Allah The Almighty address these issues and either write to you directly or deal with them as a subject matter under “Virtues of Unity” in our monthly issues for the benefit of our readers in general.

VIRTUES OF RECITING THE HOLY QURAN – – – After Waking Up from Sleep

1. Surah Taahaa – – – – – – – – – – – Once
1. Surah Yaseen – – – – – – – – – – – Once
2. Surah {No.48} Al Fathh – – – – Once
3. Surah Ar Rahman – – – – – – — – Once

1.It is narrated by Hadrat Abu Hurairah  That The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS said that Allah  recited Surah Taahaa and Surah Yaseen 1,000 years before creating the Heavens and the earth. When the angels heard these two Surahs they said blessed is the nation on which this Quran {the 2 Surahs} will be bestowed and there is good news for those hearts which would pickup {memorize} these Surahs or, pleasant condition is of those tongues which would recite this Quran {the 2 Surahs} {Daarami, Mishkat Shareef, Tarteeb Shareef Pg. 362}

2.Hadrat Umar bin Kattaa’b says: “We were with The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS during a journey. I spoke to him SAS but he kept quiet. I spoke again to him SAS and he kept silent again. I rode my she-camel to one side and talked to myself “O son of Kattaa’b may your mother cry, you spoke to The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS with a great desire but he SAS did not even respond to you, are you so worthy that something may be revealed about in The Holy Quran. Not much time elapsed when I heard a person call out loudly for me. When I presented myself The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS said “the son of Kattaa’b! Tonight such a Surah has been revealed that instead of it if all those things, are offered to me over whom the sun rises, I would not like them. That Surah is Al Fathh {Surah 48}. This hadith is Hasan Ghareeb. {Tirmidhi Shareef, Tarteeb Shareef Pg. 256}
2.Hadrat Abi Bin Ka’ab  narrates that The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS said: Any one who recites Surah Al Fathh {Surah 48} would be among those who were present with The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS during the conquest {Fathh} of Mecca. {Tafseerul Kishaaf 4 Th. VOL.PG.348}

3.Hadrat ‘Ahi Karramallahu Wajh narrates that The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS said: Everything has its greatness and the greatness of The Holy Quran is its Surah Ar Rahman.
{Baihaqi, Mishkaat Shareef, Tarteeb Shareef Pg. 257}

VIRTUES OF SUNNAH – – – Sunnah and Adaab {etiquettes} of Islamic Greetings {continued}

23.If a letter you receive has Salaam written in it, respond to it first before reading the rest of the letter {response to the Salaam of the letter is also Waajib}. Or include the response to Salaam in your written reply to the letter.

24.If someone asks you to convey their Salaam to another person, do not respond yourself there and then, as it is meaningless to do so. It is appropriate to actually convey the greeting to the person concerned. This conveying of greeting becomes Waajib only if you have agreed to do so.

25.Usually people request the person who is going to perform Hajj to convey their Salaams to The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS. If the pilgrim has agreed, then he must convey the greetings otherwise he will be a sinner.

26.If you enter the Masjid and if your friends are busy reading the Quran, doing Dhikr or Durood, or waiting to do their Salah, do not greet them. It is not proper to greet them nor is it Waajib for them to respond.

27.If there is a gathering where there is Bayan {speech} being given, and the people are listening, the one who comes in should not greet them.

28.If anyone is busy with Dhikr or Durood or any wird or making Dua, do not greet him/her either.

29.If any one is in the toilet, taking a shower, singing, or eating, do not greet them.

30.In those instances when greeting is prohibited, if one does greet, response is not Waajib.

31.If the one who is greeted is eating, and if his mouth is full response is not Waajib.
{We had mentioned in our previous issues that there are 34 Adaab; 3 of them were repetitions; They have
been excluded}.

VIRTUES OF EVERY DAY DUAS {Supplications}

When starting to eat

Translation: In the name of Allah
Hadrat Umro Ibn Abi Salama , narrates The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS said: When food is brought to you say and eat with your right hand what is close to you.
{Bukhari, Muslim, Nisaai, Tarteeb Shareef Pg.438}
Hadrat Hudhaifah Bin Al Iman , narrates The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS said: The Shaitan controls the food on which Allah’s name is not recited.
{Muslim, Abu Daawood, Nisaai, Tarteeb Shareef Pg. 483}
Hadrat Wahshi Bin Harb  narrates that we submitted to The Beloved of Allah, Hadrat Muhammad SAS that we eat and are not satisfied said: Say and eat together. In this will be barakah for you. {Abu Daawood, Ibn Maaja, Nisaai, Tarteeb Shareef Pg.483}

 Translation: In the name of Allah with His Barakah upon it.
In that Hadith in which there is narration of The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS along with Hadrat Abu Bakr  and Hadrat Umar Bin Khattaab , going to the house of Abul Haisham  and eating fresh dates and meat and drinking cold water and The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS saying that indeed this is the gift about which you will be questioned on The Day of Judgement. This was felt hard by the dear companions {May Allah be pleased with them}, {so} The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS said: When you receive something like this and when you start eating then say:
and then when you are satisfied then say:

Translation: All praises are for Allah only, who fed us and gave us to drink to the full and has bestowed this gift upon us and has given us in abundance. {Abu Hurairah , Haakim, Tarteeb Shareef Pg.483}

When you eat or drink something

Hadrat Anas  narrates that The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS said: When you eat your food or drink something say:

Translation: “In the name of Allah and with Allah, nothing on the earth or in the Heavens can harm with His Name O The Alive and The self Subsisting. Understand well that with this {saying} no illness will befall you even if it has poison in it”. {Kunzul ‘Amaal Vol.8 Pg. 5, No.93, Tarteeb Shareef Vol.3 Pg. 44}

When you have finished eating

Hadrat Abu Sa’eed Khudri  narrates that The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS when finished eating used to say:

Translation: Praise is only for Allah, who feed us and gave us to drink and raised us among Muslimeen.
{Sunan Abu Dawood, Vol.2 Pg. 182, Tarteeb Shareef Vol. 3 Pg.49}

SOME ESSENTIAL ADVISE from – – –

Hadrat Shaikh Abu Anees Muhammad Barkat Ali Mudda Zilluhu

  • If you are a co sharer or a co worker always wish for their apparent and hidden welfare.
  • If you are a businessman, do not lie, misrepresent, or deceive in your business.
  • If you have any animals under your care, fulfill their genuine rights, feed them well and be sensitive to their comfort.
  • Have mercy on all things living.
  • Whether they are your neighbors, relatives, from the same block, the same city, on the basis of their being human beings live with them with kindness.
  • Do not nurture in your heart feelings of stinginess, rancour or suspicion against any one. Do not spread rumors about anyone. These are all deadly weapons of the
    Shaitaan.

Too many of us have little or no interest in Islam. Too many of those have some interest in Islam too often try to fit Islam into their lives. Only those Inshaallah Ta’la will achieve the peace, harmony, and tranquillity here and in Paradise, promised by Allah Rabbul Izzah who work hard to fit all of themselves into all of Islam.

VIRTUES OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF FIQH AND SHAIRAH {continued}

In the previous issue {Rabi’ Ul Awwal} rock solid evidence {Daleel} was produced about Taqleed {following The Shariah} of any one of the 4 Imaams without comprehending the evidence. One evidence was from The Holy Quran Surrah “An Nahal No.43 and the other was from the Saheeh Hadeeth from the collection of Abu Dawood, Maja and Ahmad}.Jewels of our eyes please note that the 4 Madhahib of Imam Abu Haneefah, Imam Shafa’ee, Imam Maalik, and Imam Ahmad Bin Hambal {May Allah bless them all} are all Haq {correct} and the ‘Ulama {scholars} of Ahli Sunnah Waljama’ah all over the world for the past 1,200 years are in total agreement with this. It is Inshaallah Ta’la perfectly legitimate for an ordinary Muslim, any were in the world to follow The Shariah of any one of these great Imams and he will be on his way to Paradise. Please also make a note our beloved readers, that following any one of the 4 great Imams does not mean we are not obeying Allah Ta’la or not following The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS. We follow the Shariah of the 4 Imams, which was derived and extracted from the Quran and Sunnah, at great pains and life time devotion by these gifted Imams; which means the Shariah teaches and shows us exactly how to obey Allah Almighty and obey and follow His Beloved, Muhammad SAS. Of course scholars can willingly look for dalaail {evidence} as much as they want to and they will find plenty of Dalaail, in the detailed works of all the above Imams; actually it was their main purpose in life to compile a formidable collection of Dalaail for every conclusion they arrived at.
The final word about these series on Taqleed for us always is the word of our beloved, esteemed and revered Shaikh Hadrat Abu Anees Muhammad Barkat ‘Ali Muddazilluhu; in his great work ”Manifestations of the Stages of Excellence in Worship {Makshoofat Manaazile Ehsaan}:
After making the point that our work involves worship of Allah  and then to invite the slaves of Allah  towards Allah , to exhort then to do good deeds and prevent them from evil deeds, he writes:
“The matter of differences of opinion and debates and arguments is not your work. Differences upon which the great Imaams could not agree how can you all agree. There is only one appropriate response to all of this. Out of the many Mujtahids of our Deen, there 4 who are well known:
1.Hadrat Imaam Maalik {Rahmatullah “Alai’h}
2.Hadrat Imaam Ul A’zam Abu Haneefah {Rahmatullah “Alai’h}
3.Hadrat Imaam Shafa’ee {Rahmatullah “Alai’h}
4.and Hadrat Imaam Ahmad Bin Hambal {Rahmatullah “Alai’h}
All the four Imaam Mujtahideen {Plural for Mujtahid} are on the right path. To probe any further, is negation of Muslim unity. The obedience to the injunctions of The Holy Quran and Sunnah which are required of the Imaam and his Muqallideen are also required of other Imaams {out of the 4} and their Muqallideen.
Allah Ta’la has said:
Translation: “Today your Deen has been perfected and I have completed My gift {favor} upon you and have liked for you the Deen of Islam”.
The Beloved of Allah Hadrat Muhammad SAS has said: The Deen is perfected. There is no righteousness that has not been ordained and there is no evil from which {you} have not been stopped.
There are no differences of opinion regarding Ahkaam {ordnances} . The difference of opinion in Fiqh matters are about, unessentials not the fundamentals. All the four Imams are on the right path. Since it is essential to follow the Shariah of one of them, this humble slave is the Muqallid of Hadrat Imaamul A’zam Abu Haneefah. At the same time I am, with my life and heart believer of the other 3 Imaams. The service they have rendered toward the Deen, no one else will till The Day of Judgement. You should not allow any kind of disrespect towards their greatness to enter your heart. Do not also ever in any form look down upon ANY of the Institutions of Deen Ul Islam. On the other hand render every possible help to those who are working for the Deen and serve them to the best of your ability. If nothing, at least encourage them but never, even in forgetfulness oppose them. To oppose those who are working for the Deen is to oppose Allah Ta’la. Who can bear the burden of opposing Almighty Allah. {Inshaallah Ta’la we shall continue to communicate the wisdom of our Shaikh Hadrat Abu Anees Muhammad Barkat Ali Mudda Zilluhu on this subject in our next issue}.

VIRTUES OF PURIFICATION {Tazkiatun Nafs} {continued}

In The Holy Quran, Surah 2 verse 151 Allah Rabbul ‘Izzah Says:

Translation: “We sent the Messenger to you from among you, who recites to you Our Revelations, who purifies you, who teaches you knowledge from the Book and in Wisdom and teaches you those things you did not, know”.
All wisdom comes from Allah All Wise. The Sequence of the responsibilities given by Allah Ta’la to His Beloved Hadrat Muhammad SAS, in the above Ayah is significant and full of wisdom. Please note jewels of my eyes that Allah Ta’la after instructing His Beloved to recite to his people His Revelations, DOES NOT INSTRUCT him SAS to teach them knowledge from the Book. He SAS is instructed to PURIFY them BEFORE teaching them knowledge of the Book and giving them wisdom. The Beloved of Allah SAS did exactly that and look at the results and the quality of his SAS companions {may Allah Ta’la be pleased with them all}. When this vital sequence was ignored for centuries and the aspect of purification completely forgotten, the real Blessings of the Guidance of The Holy Quran and the teachings of The Beloved of Allah SAS were removed from the Ummah. The Quality of our ‘Ulama and the quality of the Muslims nowadays bears stark witness to the fact that when the Commands of The Lord of the Universe are ignored, bypassed and discarded, the consequences are terrible. {Inshaallah Ta’la, we shall continue in the next issue, to elaborate upon the “Missing Link”}.

TRANSLATION OF THE HIGHLY ACCLAIMED BOOK IN 5 VOLUMES

“MAKSHOOFAT MANAZIL EHSAAN”.
“{MANIFESTATIONS OF THE STAGES OF EXCELLENCE IN WORSHIP}” continued
By Hadrat Shaikh Abu Anees Muhammad Barkat Ali Muddazilluhu

OUR PATH

IS Da’wah and Tableegh of Deenul Islam of Allah Tabarak Wa Ta’la. We are not interested in any way whatsoever with the politics or power struggle whether it is in the city block, village, state, city or the country; neither do we have any need for it nor anything to do with it. May Allah Tabarak Wa Ta’la Azzujal Dhul Jalaali Wal Ikram give us Taufeeq {Put it in our hearts} that:

OUR LIVING

May be like a traveller, no house, no riches, no money, no property but to consume whatsoever rizq {provision} Allah gives within the bounds of Shariah with gratitude and not save anything for tomorrow. Put on simple clothes to cover the body and as a protection from heat and cold, live in a grass thatched simple abode and spend the rest of the time, using all our abilities toward Da’wah and Tableegh of Deenul Islam. Apart from this occupation, not to be occupied with any other occupation.

To live in this manner is the heart of good fortune and to die real martyrdom {shahaadah}.
A special name for a practical model of honesty, justice, straightforwardness, courageousness, generosity, and worship is Da’wah and Tableegh of Deenul Islam.
And this is the requirement of every individual of the Ummah at all times.!
I hand over all my affairs whether of the world or of the Deen, apparent or hidden to You {My Lord} and becoming totally independent of and unconcerned with every worry of every work, devote myself forever towards the Da’wah and Tableegh of Deenul Islam with all my mind and body.
I vow with all sincerity and firmness in Your Court of Grandeur and Majesty O Rubb Dhuljalali Wal Ikram That I will never occupy myself nor take any interest in any work whether worldly or to do with the Deen, apparent or hidden other than Da’wah and Tableegh of Your Deenul Islam. I have handed over all my affairs big or small, worldly or to do with the Deen, every one of them to You, in Your Hands and in Your Care and I take a solemn oath that I have no longer any interest or concern whatsoever in any matter whether personal or impersonal.

PROVEN RESOLUTION

After a long period, spring arrived in its nostalgic style, the instruments started playing long lost melodies.
In the arena of Deenul Islam, the flag of Faqr {to live in a manner when one does not save for tomorrow} which used to fly somewhere, unfurled once again here.Congratulations,

I stood under this flag and offered true and firm Taubah {Repentance} and took a vow that from that auspicious moment till my death, all the rest of my life I would become occupied and busy with all my body and heart in.

THE DA’WA AND TABLEEGH OF YOUR DEENUL ISLAM

Apart from this I will not pay attention to any other work. Neither would I occupy myself in any other occupation. From this moment till my last breath, every breath of mine would be devoted to and dedicated to the Da’wah and Tableegh of Your Deenul Islam.

Now out of Your Grace and Pleasure, bestow upon me Your Mercy and remove whatever obstacles that block this road.

I make a promise in Your August and Exalted Court O Rabb Dhul Jalaahi Wal Ikram that all my life I will live like a traveller. I will not accumulate any money or possessions apart from my day to day necessities. Nor will I possess any kind of property. You are my witness of what I am saying.

O The Truly and Perfectly Alive O The Self SustainedThis is the Salaatunnabi (Durood) recited by Hadrat Sayyidinaa UWAIS QARNEE , and the inherited Durood Shareef of the Honorable chain of Quadariyyah; Mujaddidiyyah; Ghafooriyyah; Raheemiyyah; Kareemiyyah and Ameeriyyah.It is highly recommended that those who seek the love and closeness to the Beloved of Allaah, Hadrat Muhammad SASmake it mandatory upon themselves to recite this Durood Shareef according to their capacity and the time they have available. For instance at least 11 times after each Salaat. It should be recited more frequently after Ishaa, Tahajjud and Fajr. 100,300,500 times or even more.
